Top 5 Family Events in DC and Maryland August 10th-12th
My Top 5 Events posts are back! I'm excited to let you all know about some of the local events going on in the DC/Maryland area this weekend! There are quite a few indoor activities in case it rains this weekend. There are events for new moms, kids, families, and the photography lover. 1. New Mom Coffee Talk - August 10th from 8:00am-10:30am

Join the Annapolis Birth Collective at Rise Up Coffee to chat about all things "Mom." You'll have the chance to meet other moms and build friendships as well. There is an 8am session and a 9:30am session. Babies and small children are welcome.
2. Pictures of the Year: 75 Years of the World's Best Photography - Daily through January 20, 2019 9am-5pm

I've been wanting to check out this exhibit for a while now. If you have been to it I would love to hear what you think. It is located at the Newseum in DC. The photos were chosen from over 40,000 photos from the past 75 years. The subjects range from war, peace, triumph, and cultural changes.
3. Queen Anne's County Fair - August 6th - August 11th, 2018 from 9am-10pm

Everybody loves a good County Fair. Check out the Queen Anne County Fair this week. They will have a livestock sale, showcases, food, music, a rodeo, contests, and more!
4. Milburn's U-Pick Berry and Grape Adventures - Ongoing through August 26th, 2018 from 8am-4pm

Looking for a family adventure out in nature? If so, u-pick berries and grapes sounds like the perfect outing for the weekend. Mid August brings raspberries and grapes. There is a $5 deposit for picking which gets credited toward your u-pick purchase. U-pick hours are dependent on weather conditions. 5. Video Game Wizards - Transforming Science and Art Into Games - Ongoing through January 31st, 2019 from 10am-4pm

This is the perfect indoor outing for video game lovers, art lovers, and science lovers. At the exhibit you will get to create your own video game. Each process of the creation will be explained and demonstrated. You will also have the chance to chat with video game creators throughout the process. You and your kids will be shown how you can have a career in the video game creation industry no matter what your passion is. At the end of the exhibit you will be able to play the game you created. You can also go on the website and play other peoples video game creations as well. Admission is $7-12. Kids 6 and under are free.
